Bryan Hillis
President and Principal Consultant
Mr. Hillis is the President and Principal Consultant for Alexander Global Strategies, a firm specializing in risk management, security training and operations. Bryan brings over 20 years of teaching and instructional experience while offering over 14 years of experience as a Law Enforcement Officer and has over 12 years with the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT). Bryan spent 6 years as a Team Leader and 2 years as the team commander in charge of training and operations in the following areas; Firearms, Close Quarter Battle, Combatives, Hostage Rescue, Barricaded Gunmen, High Risk Warrant Service and Protective Service Operations.
Bryan has taught and led exercises in various areas to include high risk tactics, techniques and procedures to members of the United States Military including US Special Forces, US SOCOM (Pre Deployment Training), along with Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement officers from all over the country. Bryan has conducted Executive Protection details for various US Government officials, foreign government officials, CEO’s, celebrities, and Fortune 100/500 companies.
As a certified instructor for various disciplines, in 2010 Bryan was asked to come aboard with the O’Gara Group Training and Services Division to assist with curriculum development for a US Department of State “Train the Trainer” Program. After completing the curriculum, Bryan along with other cadre, certified hundreds of other instructors on behalf of the United States State Department to teach on the Worldwide Protective Services Program. Later, Bryan was selected and vetted as an instructor for the US Diplomatic Security Service/Anti-Terrorism Assistance Training Program. Bryan was made a part of a team tasked with training foreign countries in the Protection of their National Leadership. Bryan and a team of instructors deployed to the Middle East where they trained a Middle Eastern Presidential Protective Detail in the areas of Firearms, Motorcade Operations, Defensive Tactics, and Protective Operations along with various other Anti-Terrorism topics.
Along with a Secret Clearance, Bryan currently holds certifications with United States Department of State as a lead instructor in the following areas; Firearms, Room Entry Tactics, Defensive Tactics, Protective Operations, along with Hostage Survival and Personnel Recovery. Bryan has trained hundreds of personnel who were deployed to various areas in the Middle East to run protective operations for National Leaders and VIP’s. Bryan has attended additional training through the Department of Homeland Security regarding Risk Management, Threat and Vulnerability Assessments, National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NIPP), Incident Command, Facility Security Level Determinations for Federal Infrastructure, Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources (CIKR), and the Automated Critical Asset Management System (ACAMS). In addition to training courses, Bryan holds a BS Degree from Carson Newman University (Jefferson City, Tennessee) and an Associates Degree from Brevard College (Brevard, North Carolina).
